Our Process

Streamline Consulting begins the process of productivity evaluation by listening to you and watching your operation in action. We work with you on-site, with no pre-packaged programs. We compare our findings from onsite assessments with benchmarks in your industry and with those based on known behaviors and values that support productivity.

Our Productivity and Project Management Tools

Lean Management

Used to reduce labor costs, reduce inventory and delivery time of all (not just expedited) orders, Lean Manufacturing includes these tools and concepts, many of them based on learnings from the Toyota Production System (TPS).

  • Value Stream Mapping. Creating flow charts that are then used to identify waste and to set priorities in opportunities
  • 5S. A structured approach to cleaning up and organizing a work area, creating efficiency.
  • Line balancing
  • Work standards
  • Visual tools
  • Work Flow Controls
  • Constraint Identification and Management. Your output is limited by the slowest operations, the constraints.

Lean Six Sigma

Used to reduce defects and the costs of scrap, rework, customer returns, warrantee support and lost customers that are associated with them.

  • Cross-functional teams to solve problems
  • Implementation of structured problem-solving methods
  • Data analysis for design of experiments and statistical process control
  • Six Sigma training for continuous quality improvement

Kaizen

Used to humanize the workplace and rid it of the stresses of overwork, while also improving productivity, Kaizen can transform work in the public sector, as well as in other business sectors.

  • Evaluation of the process and results
  • Evaluation of the overall system in place, assessment of each element along the pipeline
  • Creation of processes that integrate all elements, increasing productivity and worker satisfaction at all levels

Custom Classes

Many of our clients want to invest in their most important resource: their employees. In addition to the public classes available at University of Nevada Reno, Truckee Meadows Community College, and Western Nevada College, Streamline Consulting Associates offers custom workshops, classes and training.

We facilitate workshops in all of the productivity and project management tools, and more. We integrate your current processes into updated industry best practices for workshops that move your team to the next level, specific to your needs. We provide expertise on reinforcing the training, too, so your team can implement their new learning in the workplace.
